Retirement Planning
I don't like the phrase retirement planning as it conjures up images of slippers, smoking pipes and warm fires, and actually retired people are some of the busiest people I know. I prefer to think of it as Financial Independence. Financial Independence is being able to maintain your standard of living (through investment income) without having to go to work.
And this is what we help to create - Financial Independence. Not just at retirement, but in the event of accident, sickness, critical illness and even death (for the surviving family).
So briefly retirement planning is about making sure you or your family are financially secure in the event of premature death, illness or in the event you live too long.
We've covered protection and investment in other areas of this site so I will focus on pensions in this section which is what you're probably expecting to read about.
NHS Pensions
If you're an NHS dentist you will no doubt be in the NHS Pension Scheme. If you're not you may be losing valuable benefits so I would recommend you take advice.
Assuming you're in the NHS Pension you may be interested in knowing what you're likely to be entitled to. All you need to do is write to
