What happens if you've not made a will
Many people think their spouse is automatically entitled to any assets that are not held jointly even if they haven’t written a will. The reality is that under the laws of intestacy (dying without a will), if you have children, your spouse is only entitled to the first £250,000 and an interest in half the remainder.
