Financial Planning

Is it possible that you would live your life differently if you had a fresh perspective on your finances?

Many people want to retire early; some clients want to take more holidays; others want to buy a second home. What do you really want to achieve?

Our detailed Financial Planning Service including lifetime cash-flow forecasts, provides our clients with the building blocks to make serious life changing decisions.

Working with other professionals

Hopefully, if you've read this far you'll realise that we specialise in working with dentists. As financial issues have an impact on other areas of our clients’ lives, such as buying and selling dental practices, Wills, Trusts and tax, we work closely with solicitors, accountants, and other business consultants … whatever is necessary to help our clients get their finances in shape.

We’ve been members of the Association of Specialist Providers to Dentists (ASPD) since 2004 and have developed relationships with many other professionals.

We’re delighted to be the preferred Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) for several dental accountants, solicitors and practice sales agents and are the “in house” IFA for a leading firm of dental accountants.

Discover The Truth About Money

We describe Financial Planning as the process of HELPING OUR CLIENTS TO LIVE THE LIFE THEY WANT without fear of running out of money - whatever happens.

You won't discover the TRUTH about money by asking whether Aviva is better for your finances than Scottish Equitable, or whether Passive funds are superior to Active funds - although these are, of course, worth discussing!

What our clients want to hear is how best to take control of their finances and their lives. What they really want is to find out how to answer questions like:

  • "How much do I need to earn, save or sell my practice for, to give me the lifestyle I want?"
  • "What do I need to do to ensure that I never run out of money?"
  • "Can I really afford to send the kids to a private school?"
  • "Will I be able to help my parents afford nursing care costs?"
  • "Can I help my son buy his first property?"
  • "Exactly what level of investment return do I need in order to achieve my goals?"
In fact a client said to me once, "I don't want to have to spend my retirement shopping in Aldi, when I've spent my life shopping in Waitrose and never had to even look at the bill."

Someone has to figure out how to put together all the available resources, money, time and relationships and make them work as efficiently as possible.
